How do I get on council's preferred supplier list?
Council does not maintain a preferred supplier list. All suppliers who meet the requirements can tender for advertised opportunities. Registration on the eTendering portal ensures you receive notifications.
Can I submit a tender after the closing time?
No. The eTendering system automatically closes at the specified deadline and late submissions cannot be accepted under any circumstances.
Will I receive feedback if my tender is unsuccessful?
Yes. Unsuccessful tenderers may request a debriefing to understand evaluation outcomes and areas for improvement in future submissions.
Are tenders awarded to the lowest price?
No. Tenders are evaluated on value for money considering multiple weighted criteria including price, experience, methodology, quality, and compliance. The lowest price does not guarantee success.
How long does the evaluation process take?
Evaluation timeframes vary depending on tender complexity. Generally, evaluation takes 4-8 weeks after closing. Complex tenders may require longer assessment periods.
Can I form a joint venture or consortium to tender?
Yes. Joint ventures and consortiums are acceptable provided clear lead contractor arrangements are established and all parties' details are disclosed in the submission.
