Application Process

Event Licenses
If you're planning a public event in Great Victoria Desert, you may need an event license or approval.
Events Requiring Approval:
- Public gatherings over 50 people
- Street festivals and markets
- Road closures for events
- Use of public parks and facilities
- Temporary structures and marquees
- Food and beverage sales
Applications should be submitted at least 6 weeks before your event.
Food Business Registration
All food businesses operating in Great Victoria Desert must be registered with Council. This includes:
- Restaurants and cafes
- Takeaway food outlets
- Food trucks and mobile vendors
- Catering businesses
- Temporary food stalls at events
Animal Registration
Dogs and cats must be registered with Council by 3 months of age. Registration helps reunite lost pets with their owners and supports animal management services.
Registration Fees:
- Standard registration: $80 per year
- Pensioner concession: $40 per year
- Desexed animals: $40 per year
- Working dogs: $20 per year
