Upcoming Council Meeting - February 2026

The next Ordinary Council Meeting will be held on Monday, March 3, 2026 at 5:30 PM at the Council Chambers. Members of the public are welcome to attend and participate in the public forum session.

Key items on the agenda include:

  • 2026-2027 Annual Budget Review
  • Community Center Upgrade Project
  • Environmental Sustainability Strategy
  • Road Infrastructure Maintenance Plan

New Community Center Construction Begins

Great Victoria Desert Council is excited to announce the commencement of construction on the new East Side Community Center. This $8.5 million project will provide state-of-the-art facilities for our growing community.

The new center will feature:

  • Multi-purpose hall with capacity for 300 people
  • Meeting rooms and community spaces
  • Commercial-grade kitchen facilities
  • Youth activity areas and technology hub
  • Outdoor recreation spaces and gardens

The project is expected to be completed by December 2026. We thank the community for their patience during construction.
